  1. What is KVBC Bible Conference?

KVBC Bible Conference is our annual conference, organised with the aim to encourage godliness through expository Bible teaching. The conference is held annually in Penang, Ipoh and Klang Valley, and features faithful and gifted preachers such as DA Carson, David Cook, David Jackman, Bryan Chapell, William Taylor and John Woodhouse.


  1. What’s the difference between online and past KVBC Bible Conferences?

You will be able to access it anywhere as long as you have the internet, no more worrying about traffic or parking space. The session will still begin at 8:15pm sharp nightly but will end by 9:30pm. It is a pity we cannot meet physically, but we encourage that you gather with friends or family to join in online. You will be able to post your questions online for the 7:15pm Q&A session on the second and third night with Gary Millar.


  1. Who can attend KVBC Bible Conference 2020? Who is the event suited for?

The KVBC Conference is recommended for all Christians. Christians from all walks of life including Bible study leaders, preachers in-training, seasoned preachers, working professionals and more gather with their friends and family at our annual conference.


  1. What language is the event delivered in?

The KVBC Conference, including materials (if available), are delivered annually in English.


  1. Is the KVBC Bible Conference suited for non-Christians? Can I join if I am not a Christian, or new to, or exploring Christianity?

Yes, anyone is welcome to watch the 2020 KVBC Online Conference!


  1. Why should I attend KVBC Conference 2020?

We are called to continually sharpen our understanding of God’s word and to be encouraged to grow in the image and likeness of Jesus Christ.


  1. Do you cater for disabilities or special needs (e.g. hearing / visual impairment)?

We make every effort to cater for disabilities and special needs, including technological challenges. Please make sure that you inform us of any requirements as far in advance as possible, so that we have more time to coordinate with our rightful contacts. Kindly email us at info@kvbctrust.org. 


  1. What time does the conference start?

The conference begins each night at 8:15pm (Kuala Lumpur time). Convert to your local time here.

The Q&A sessions will begin at 7:15pm on 4th and 5th August.


  1. What time does the conference end each night?

The conference ends each night at 9:30pm after the Closing Prayer.


  1. Are there breaks during the conference?

No, the conference will be just slightly over 1 hour long each night.


  1. How may I submit my questions for the Q&A?

Simply enter the event code #KVBC2020 on the Slido website. The event code is @KVBC2020  http:/app.sli.do.

You will be able to post your questions on slido at the start of each night conference. Each night we will close the posting at 12 midnight. 


  1. How will my questions be answered?

On the second and third night, there will be a Q&A session at 7:15pm. You are encouraged to join us.

The Q&A session will also be posted online on our kvbctrust.org/KVBC2020 website.


  1. What if I am unable to attend one of the 3 nights?

The conference talks will be uploaded on a website at a later date.

  1. How much does it cost to attend the conference?

Registration for the KVBC Conference is free.


  1. Do I have to attend each night?

No, just like an in-person conference, you have the freedom to pick the time/date you attend. However, we would like to encourage you to attend the conference in its entirety to help you get the most out of the conference experience.


  1. Can I register during the conference dates?

You can register anytime during the conference.



  1. How many attendees is allowed for the conference? Is there a waitlist?

There is no limitation to the number of participants.


  1. Can I share my event ticket with another person?

As registration is free, we would encourage those interested to sign up.


  1. My friend/family member has registered or the event, may I join them using their registration ticket/link?

Yes, as the event is streamed live on YouTube, watch parties are allowed.


For paid events (future reference): The EPS is for paid participants only. To be considered a paid participant you must be registered for the seminar. Logins by multiple users from a single organization with only one participant registered, and multiple logins by a single user are not permitted.


  1. Can I cancel my ticket order?

Yes, registrants can view and manage their Eventbrite tickets using the link provided in the registration confirmation email.


  1. What happens after I register?

You will receive a registration confirmation email from Eventbrite. We will then email you about access links to the event closer to the event date.


  1. I have not received the registration confirmation email.

An automated confirmation will be sent for all online registrations from the Eventbrite website. If you do not receive this, please contact info@kvbctrust.org. 


  1. Can I still register and expect to receive recordings of the event?

You can still register and receive the access link for future access after each night has been premiered.

  1. How do I attend the online conference?

You can access through desktop, laptop, tv (with internet accessibility), ipad and smartphone. It is recommended if you have a reliable broadband internet connection. (Recommend to log on 15 minutes prior to conference start time to ensure you can access). Headsets or speakers are also recommended.

  1. What technology do I need to join the online conference, apart from Internet access?

You will need:

  • Access to the Internet and Internet browser
  • We recommend checking that your Internet browser is up to date so that you can use YouTube’s latest features. You may check using this link here https://www.youtube.com/supported_browsers
  • A mobile device. For the best experience, we suggest joining from a desktop or laptop computer.


  1. Do I need to have a webcam for the event?

No, there will be no face-to-face interaction required for this conference. However, we would like to encourage you to organise ‘watch parties’ either from the comforts of your own home, or virtually on Facebook.


  1. What time should I join the event?

We would encourage participants to prepare themselves and join the conference link at least 15 minutes before the conference starts at 8.15pm on first night 3rd August. On the second and third night, you are encouraged to join us for the Q&A session at 7:15pm.


  1. What materials should I bring?

It would be helpful to have these prepared before each night starts:

  • A drink
  • Stationery for taking notes
  • Some healthy snacks


  1. Are there any pre-reading/pre-event tasks required as preparation?

No, but you are encouraged to read 1 and 2 Kings prior to the event.


  1. Are there any books and resources to help me think further about the topics/issues that would be discussed in this year’s conference?

As we continue to partner Evangel Bookstore, they will be a promotional video available for your consideration.


  1. What if I get disconnected from the Internet?

You will be able to rejoin once your internet is available and click on the same link from the website.

  1. Can I get recordings of each night?

The video will be available on our website after it has premiered.


  1. I missed some parts of the conference. Can I get access to watch the event again after the conference?
